Yixing Teapot - Yellow with Lotus & Fish Design

The beautiful teapot has swiftly become a favorite of mine. Yixing teapots are great tea pots for loose leaf oolong tea & pu'erh teas, both raw (sheng) & ripe (shu), or cooked. 200ml is great size as a personal tea experience or one that you can provide for a friend or two & yourself! The design on the outside is beautiful, depicting a lotus flower & a fish in water on one side. The other side has several Chinese characters; I am still learning to read Chinese so if one of you lovely clients can translate it before I can, please let me know! 

Yixing teapots are made from a clay that has bits of iron within the clay giving it a color ranging from red, yellow, or purple. The combination of the iron & the pores in the hardening of the clay almost act like cast iron, retaining flavor from past teas! This teapot is true one to add to the collection.
